Seminario Paisaje de Conservación Valle del Río San Pedro

Valle Río San Pedro“un modelo de gobernanza para la conservación innovador, con dos Municipios y los mismos alcaldes siendo sus protagonistas”

El día 14 de Junio el Paisaje de Conservación Valle Río San Pedro organizó el Seminario titulado: “Ordenamiento y Gestión Territorial para la Conservación”, generando un diálogo en torno al tema junto a representantes de diversas iniciativas de conservación, la academia y organismos públicos. El Alcalde de Los Lagos Simon Mancilla, junto con el Alcalde de Máfil, Claudio Sepúlveda, abrieron la jornada compartiendo la satisfacción y orgullo sentían por el Paisaje de Conservación del Valle Río San Pedro, iniciativa que se ha convertido en una experiencia demostrativa para otros territorios en Chile.

No sólo los logros del Paisaje de Conservación del Valle Río San Pedro lo convierten en una experiencia destacada a nivel nacional, se suma a la puesta en práctica de un modelo de gobernanza innovador, con dos Municipios y los mismos Alcaldes siendo sus protagonistas. El profesor de la Universidad de Chile, Javier Simonetti, destacó el trabajo realizado en el Paisaje del Valle Río San Pedro, indicando esta experiencia está poniendo en práctica gran parte de las metas y lineamientos de convenios internacionales en conservación, entre ellos el desafío de incorporar la matriz productiva con las áreas de conservación.

Benito Coloma (Encargado Regional SUBDERE Los Ríos) y Marly Placencia (Oficina de Medio Ambiente, Municipalidad de Alhué) demostraron cómo se pueden adaptar instrumentos de planificación como el Plan Regional de Ordenamiento Territorial y el Plan de Desarrollo Comunal incorporando los objetivos de conservación del paisaje. Claudia Bustamante (Agenda Local 21) compartió la experiencia de iniciativas para facilitar el diálogo entre empresas forestales y la comunidad, que culminaron en la realización de actividades de restauración de riberas y protección de nacientes de agua.

Otros expositores del seminario incluyeron a: Zamir Bugüeño (U. de Los Lagos), Juan Pablo Contreras (Consejo Nacional de Innovación), Natalia Canihuante (Paisaje Conservación Río San Pedro), Alfredo Almonacid (The Nature Conservancy), Isabel Cárdenas (Humedal Trumao), Lorena Arce (TICCA), Fabiola Rivas (Paisaje Valle Río San Pedro), Laura Nahuelhual (U. Austral de Chile), Jorge Quezada (Bosque Modelo) y Pablo Cunazza (CONAF).
