“De la investigación a la acción”

Investigadores de la Universidad Austral de Chile y la Fundación Centro de los Boques Nativos Forecos participaron en cuarta versión del Congreso Internacional de Servicios Ecosistémicos en los Neotrópicos entre el 30 de septiembre y el 3 de octubre de 2015 en Mar del Plata, Argentina, el cual se desarrolló bajo el lema “De la investigación a la acción”.

 
En ese contexto el Dr. Antonio Lara, Presidente de la Fundación Forecos, señalo que:

“Se constata una trayectoria desde el primer congreso en Valdivia, el año 2006, una permanencia y fortalecimiento de la disciplina de servicios ecosistémicos y de la comunidad que se dedica a este estudio, a la formación de profesionales de investigadores y vinculación con la sociedad”,

explicó el Dr. Lara, quien al cierre del evento presentó un resumen de la historia del Congreso y sus principales logros, destacando la Red Latinoamericana de Servicios Ecosistémicos, LANES.
 
Entre los temas más discutidos en el congreso se encuentran la creciente deforestación y para lo cual se propone esquemas de manejo silvopecuarios que incluyen ganadería y bosques. También destacaron los trabajos de valoración social de los Servicios Ecosistémicos presentados por Laura Nahuelhual, Colaboradora y fundadora de la Fundación Forecos .
